The moment your foot leaves the pier in Krabi is the exact moment the adventure begins. Wave goodbye to everything you thought you knew about Thailand and say hello to a getaway that is sure to knock you straight on your ass with its beauty alone. The air is crisp, the water is transcendent and inviting and the locals are as sweet as can as pie. There is more than a handful of excursions to choose from based on the level of effort you wish to exert on your trip.

Transportation

Krabi Province is located on the Phranang Peninsula on Thailand’s Andaman coastline and you have two options for transportation. First, you can fly into Phuket International Airport and take a two-hour bus ride down or you can fly straight into Krabi Airport with only a twenty-five-minute transfer to the pier of Krabi Town. Once you have reached the pier, there is only one way to get to the beautiful beaches of Krabi Province and that is via a twenty-minute speedboat or long boat ride, based on your preference. Whichever you choose, you’ll be struck with awe as you cross the deep blue waters and surround yourself with the breathtaking limestone cliffs that fill the sea.

Eat

Railay Princess Restaurant

Chic with a hint of tropics, Railay Princess is a restaurant with a lot to offer, from french fries and cheese pizza to nasi goreng and pad thai. Yum from all over the globe. Oh, and did I mention there is a full bar with happy hour from 3-6?! Who doesn’t want half off drinks?!

Mom’s Kitchen

It is all in the title of the restaurant folks! The cooking is just as good, if not better than what your mom could whip up...if you’re mom made your Thai food as a child. Mom’s Restaurant offers a cozy feel with local food. Be warned, if you do not like spicy be sure to let the server know because Thailand DOES spicy.

Friendship Restaurant

Cop a squat on a vibrant cushion with a view of the ocean and fresh air circulating your lungs. Surround yourself with the locals, the backpackers, and the climbers while chowing down on some scrumptious authentic Thai food.

When you stay at the Rayavandee, you are booking a weekend in utopia ladies and gentlemen. If you’re looking for a taste of paradise but aren’t quite ready to break open the piggy bank, Bhu Nga Thani Resort & Spa is the place for you. You still have access to the stunning white sandy beaches, a handful of excursions and a pool worthy of an Instagram photoshoot.

Adventures

Rock Climbing

Climbers from all over the world gather at Krabi to scale the limestone cliffs that can be found around the island and the middle of the deep blue waters. If you’re one of those climbers and arrived drooling with your gear, drool no more! Slap your hands into some chalk and gear up. If you’re new to the world of climbing but would love to experience the limestone between your fingers, schedule a half or full day session with one of the many instructors available on the island. You can make appointments via your resort or book a session with Krabi Rock Climbing!  An instructor and all of the equipment required is provided at an affordable price, the rest of the adventure is up to you!

Island Hopping

Whether you rent a private boat or join in on a tour, I highly recommend hopping between islands during your stay. The tours give you the opportunity to relax on private beaches like Phra Nang Cave Beach, scuba dive with the fishes off of Puda and Tup Island and do back flips off the roof of the charter boat in the middle of it all if that is your thing. Either way, you are able to enjoy life on the water for a day and the views you witness will transform your definition of beauty. The perfect way to unplug and recharge!
