Good morning champs!

It’s a damp and chilly day in L.A. and I am currently spending the afternoon with a pup named Banjo. Man oh man is my heart happy! If I am being honest with you, I have delayed writing this post this afternoon because the pup is quite distracting in the best of ways.

Focus Casha Focus.

In twenty days, my first year in Los Angeles will be complete. Normally, I would wait until the day of to do a reflection of my year and discuss the amount of growth I believe has happened but I have a feeling Thailand will consume my blog for a week straight. For those of you who are just tuning in, I am flying internationally at the end of the month to celebrate the love of two of my favorite humans! I will spend the first four days in Bangkok before scurrying over to Krabi where all the love will happen. Ah! I am beyond stoked for the trip and I am counting down the days.

Outside of Thailand, I am cruising over to Las Vegas this weekend to see Bryce and Antonio and this is a trip that is long overdue. I miss both of your sweet faces and whoa buddy am I grateful for all that you two have done for me over the past year. You both supplied a lot of love, a lot of sass and a lot of brownies. I look forward to being reunited!

I will be home for a day or two before Vanessa and I tackle the western coast, another adventure that warms my heart.

I think it is safe to say February is going to be a spectacular month and I look forward to all that it brings. Don’t worry, I won’t leave you in the dark! I’ll be better with my recaps in the future.

So kids, what have I learned about myself in the past year and how have I blossomed?

It is not your job to take care of everyone when you can barely take care of yourself some days.

With that being said, in the process of being kind to those around you, you must remember to be kind to yourself too.

Adventure fuels my soul and my creativity.

I am a writer. It's that simple.

I need to work with dogs in some form or fashion.

Life truly does begin at the end of your comfort zone so say yes to the shit that scares you; so far it's been one hell of an adventure I would not trade for the world.

You do not need anyone who does not value you or respect you.

Dating in Los Angeles is a wild and crazy experience, but there are gems hidden amongst the rubble.

Your community is a keystone to your happiness and your growth. Surround yourself with extraordinary people.

It's okay to be lost or a few step behind those around you; the most important thing is that you're taking the proper strides to get where you want to be.

As an artist, you are forever your own worst critic. Do not let the fear of criticism keep you from putting your art into the universe! The world is waiting to see what you've got.

If you do not ask for what you want, the answer will always be no. So just ask!

You deserve the same amount of love you give, do not settle for less.

Life is short and time flies, live your life accordingly.

Money is important, but it's not worth sacrificing your passion or your happiness (not a quote for everyone, but something I truly resonate with).

Journal the moments that make your heart happy and the moments that tear you to shreds; both have helped you blossom into the person you are today.

Your words have and always will be important and hold value; never ever forget that!

 Los Angeles is home.

This past year has transformed my life in ways I could never have imagined and I am grateful for every experience, every individual and just the sheer opportunities I have been given. I look forward to the year ahead and the adventures that await.

Keep on keepin' on champs!
