Casha's Tips For Groovy Living Pt. 1
Good evening champs, it's an hour before the cut off time and I am ready to crank out a quick and hopefully coherent piece. To those of you who read 6 a.m. thoughts, this will share a similar vibe as I just ranted endlessly for about 90 minutes to my boyfriend in the car. The rant started with a series of questions as he tried to break the silence on the drive home from Temecula.
The first question was, do you have any goals written down. The answer is yes, each goal is written in my journal with the deadline of September 24, the day I turn 24. There are two goals that stick out the most as they involve my two greatest passions in the world, writing and travel. I would love to be published in 15 publications and to have a financial/job situation that allows me to travel freely. It would be groovy if the two formed together, ha. So, by posting these for the world to view, I am now held accountable for my actions and must make these two goals a reality.
Now that it's time to move onto question two, I don't quite remember what it was. I do, however, remember what the rants were and I am going to call this next segment, Casha's Tips For Groovy Living. Note: these tips are in no particular order as I am not a life expert, ha. These are simply things I have done in my life thus far. Take everything with a grain of salt.
1. Stay Humble, Always
It's important to always remain grounded, especially through your successes and triumphs in life as an inflated ego can create unnecessary chaos and negative energy.
2. Pay It Forward
If I have learned anything in the past year, it is the importance of giving back to the community who gave to you. Throughout your hustling and dream chasing, you've had support and love from the individuals in your inner circle or community. Remember this always! If you aren't able to pay it forward now, express mad gratitude. These individuals are a part of your success, even if they're just your number one cheerleader.
3. Attitude of Gratitude
It's simple, tell people you appreciate them daily. Gratitude is a great way to stay humble.
4. Stay Curious
You will never know everything, no matter how much you read, study and trek through life. The world is far too vast and the knowledge, never ending. Continue to do shit that scares you by stepping out of your comfort zone. Continue to read and ask questions, it is rare there is a dumb question. Allow yourself the opportunity to get lost for the journey home will teach you far more than you can imagine. Keep an open mind and allow individuals to blow that shit up!
5. Don't Be A Dick
I've always been a firm believer in being compassionate and kind. You don't know what someone is going through and everyone has their off days. Treat people with respect, it's not hard. What's the old saying, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind? Nah, but seriously, kindness goes a long way in life and in business.
Yeah, I think 5 is a great place to start. Also, I am mad tired from my day and I am finding it hard to type coherent sentences.
Keep on keepin' on champs!
