A Pinch of Gratitude

Good afternoon kids, it's an insanely gorgeous day today and I've got such an extra pep in my step...even though I am currently laying horizontally as I type this up for you, ha.

I started my day a little early, cough cough 6 a.m., and headed to Malibu for a two-hour hike before my shift at 10. That's right, your girl got fit and then made some money, haha. Okay, I am going to stop playing so much. If you're wondering why I rose as early as I did, it's for multiple reasons. First, I love mother earth. It's as simple as that kids. Second, my sleep schedule is completely twisted and I've woken up at 3 a.m. every morning for the past week and a half. The last time this occurred, it ended with a slight change in diet, daily exercise, and meditation, which of course leads me to believe it is stress induced. So, I am about to show my body some mad love because it's hard to get through a nine hour work day on bits and pieces sleep.

With all that being said, let's dive into day 4 of 30. I am feeling pretty inspired at the moment, so I am just going to roll with my thoughts and hope it makes sense at the end.

You know what, let's just stick with little gratitude.

I am grateful for my health, to be mobile and able to live my life the way I wish to.

I am grateful for the strong support system I have in Los Angeles and in Atlanta. Thank you all for the constant love and support, you push me to greatness and surround me with an abundance of warmth and compassion.

I am grateful to be employed, to be given the opportunity to pursue my passion and to work with animals.

I am grateful for mother earth. I am grateful for the mountains covered in lush green trees and golden wildflowers. I am grateful for the ocean, from the push and pull of its current to the sweet smell of salt water and it's calm presence. You are the reason I feel as inspired as I do and I am forever connected to you!

I am grateful for a place to lay my head every night and for a place to call home.

I am grateful for my car, as silly and materialistic as it is. My car is the reason I am able to venture to the mountains, oceans and deserts as easily and swiftly as I do.

I am grateful for...shit I feel myself wanting to list every little thing. I am grateful for the friendly smiles and faces I encounter on my morning hikes.

I am grateful for CAMP because it changed my life in such a majestical way and introduced me to a lot of truly remarkable people.

I am grateful for music and poetry and art because it inspires me, it evokes raw emotion and helps me grow. Without art, I would not be the individual you meet today.

I am grateful for the little things in life, the things we often overlook like finding a great parking spot or catching all the green lights on the way to work.

Gah, I feel like such a corny machine at the moment and truth be told, I don't care. For the first time in a few days, I finally feel rejuvenated and my heart is happy.  So yeah, I am going to rejoice in the fact that I have the next two days off and make the most of it. I have another hike tomorrow morning with Jessee and I am beyond pumped!

I wish you all a marvelous weekend and I am forever sending out good vibes and compassion.

Keep on keepin' on!
